Last week I decided to propose to my fiancée and I decided to go a different way, with respect to purchasing a diamond ring. I knew that I wasn’t going to be able to afford one that she would like, so I decided to pick her up canary CZ ring. I knew that she would like the design because I had seen her comment on one that looked rather similar to it a couple of months ago, so I was hoping that she would be charmed by the fact that I picked out something that I knew that she would like. I just couldn’t see spending so much money on something that she wasn’t going to wear every day of her life.

And the beautiful thing is that she’s the kind of woman who would appreciate this frugal gesture. She’s an economist at a local community college and understands the value of money. She knows full well about everything that’s going on in the world, so the fact that I saved some money on her CZ wedding band is not going to be an issue at all. Plus, with the savings we could finally afford to make a down payment on a townhome that we’ve had our eye on for the better part of the last year. We’ve been waiting for the price to fall lower and lower and every couple of months it does just that.
